Thank You
Last week was one of the hardest weeks I have ever had to face. My Aunt Marilyn passed away on January 2nd. I have lost my friend, mentor and especially my favorite Aunt. You will never ever know how much you have meant to me.
Thank you for teaching me the importance of family and friends….and the fact that there really isn’t a difference between the two.
Thank you for loving me like I was your child, and sharing that love between 7 other kids.
Thank you for teaching me to be myself. That whatever I say I am entitled to.
Thank you for teaching me to love reading and books.
Thank you for teaching me how to enjoy a good bottle of wine….or rye (rum in your case)…..or whatever is available.
Thank you for teaching me to be independent….you thought I wasn’t listening….but I did.
Thank you for showing me your sense of humor. I can still hear your laugh.
Thank you for just listening to me, all my complaints, dreams, frustrations and fears.
Thank you for always being honest with me.
Thank you for teaching me how to cook with a microwave….total time saver.
Thank you for taking the time to jot down your thoughts of almost everyone you know. I think just about everyone has had a poem written for them.
Thank you for taking the time to play with me, whether it was on skates, in a pool, or just hanging out.
Thank you for teaching me how to love taking photos and scrap booking. Now if only I could keep up to you.
Thank you for teaching me to love music of all kinds. And that I don’t always need a TV on in the background.
Thank you for taking me to ballets and operas. Although I loved the Opera’s, I didn’t understand ballets; I appreciated the time I got to share with you.
Lilly and Tanner will never get to know Aunt “Marily”. I am just happy you got to see both of them, and will forever be watching out for them from above.
I love you forever and miss you for always.
Love

I am crying too - and I barely knew her. What a beautiful tribute, Lian - she'd have been proud.
Love,
