Sleepy...

Last night Lilly was pretty good, she did the 1am feeding and then slept for about 3 hours and then we did a 4:30 feeding and was down until about 7am'ish...

Didn't nap today so I am feeling it right now, she is due again soon, so I hope to get a couple of hours of semi-sleep before the next one...

We went to Lian's work today and showed off the baby, headed to the golf course to introduce the future 2022 LPGA Champion to the green grass and got our baby announcements done, and labelled and ready to be mailed tomorrow...

If I am a good boy, I think I may hit the links tomorrow for a round of golf before Lian's Mom heads back home on Monday...play while you can I guess...

Happy Anniversary

Well it has been one year since Lian and I have been married...about this time last year we were shaking hands, getting hugs and dancing up a storm with Lian's cousin DJ...lol...nothin' beats the robot...

And we have the best first anniversary gift we could have asked for, our new daughter home...we had a busy night last night, and I'm sure I didn't get more than a couple of hours of sleep, but during the day today, time flew by as we tended to her every need...I'm glad Lian got a few more hours of rest today and we are on night patrol soon, as Lilly is starting to stir for her next feeding.

I will add some more photos tomorrow,

They're home...

Lian and Lilly are home....I'm extremely happy and of course nervous...

Lilly lost about 12% of her birth weight and she is a very sleepy eater...so over the last couple of days they have been supplementing with formula and she is back under the 10% limit...

So home at last are my girls, I'm glad Lian's Mom is here for a couple of weeks and we will enjoy the next couple of days and get to know each other better...

It truly is fantasic...

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!

So the story goes like this, and some of you may have heard this already, but there are pictures at the end...Lian went into labour Tuesday morning at 3am, went through all day at home and we headed to the hospital at Midnight Wednesday...no gory details you can ask Lian about that...she went through all the treatments and she ended up having a c-section at 12:30pm Wednesday and we had the baby at 1:05pm...

The stats...

Lilly Irene Wallace
7lbs. 15oz.
Length 52cm
Head 37cm
Chest 34cm

Mom and Lilly are doing great, getting to know each other, watching Dad try to figure out why if a diaper is on, does the poop have to explode out of it...(Hey I've done 2 changes already....Total diaper changes for Craig in his lifetime = 2....lol...).

We hope to have Lian and Lilly back Saturday, other then that...not much else is new.... :-)

TTYS

Not yet...

Monday night, and nothing has happened so far...Lian is still suffering from a sore back and she is tired but I know we are getting close.

The golf tournament that I suppose to be in this weekend ended with a friend of mine winning, so congrats to two-time winner Dean Harrington. I was able to get down for the last 6 holes and it was an extremely tight finish and this is the first time in a long time that I was able to enjoy golf from the gallery, and not have to grind it out on a dry, hard course on a hot, sunny Sunday afternoon.

Lian and I finally painted the Muskoka chairs her Aunt gave us as a house warming gift, one is blue and the other is orange. They turned out really well. I will post a couple of pics when the sun is back out tomorrow.

Countdown is on...

So we must be getting close, I'm crabby, Lian's crabby...although she is going through a lot more than I.

Our visit with our Doctor this morning was more of the same, stay the course, it is now happening. Although I have read that some women take up to two weeks after the first signs of pre-labour. I know that is something that Lian really doesn't want to hear. Although I need a break from work, I don't think the two weeks I have off the moment Lian goes into full blown labour would be considered a break.

Got a call from my Doctor's office this morning, I have a consultation with a Dr. Chapman in Toronto on November 15th for my back...I have been trying to lose some weight the last 4 weeks and may have dropped 6-7 pounds, but I think that is more or trying not to snack at work, no pop (not even diet) and no milk and cheese...so it is working...going no carb is out of the question, I would die...but I have cut down on bread and haven't had a bag of chips since the start.

Will update when something new comes up...

The miracle of modern society...

My how times have changed since we tied the knot close to 12 months ago....

Our friends from Yellowknife, Heather and Stephen went on a surprise cruise to Alaska...and Stephen asked Heather to marry her on the cruise...and we just finished watching the ceremony online.

So congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Nielsen...

Hump Day

B-rad is back on Ontera...Brad Craig a summer student we had a couple of years ago and a damn fine person has been hired as another helping arm here at work.

I'm going to help him get his website up and running and hopefully he'll give full props to the 'little people'.

Lian is getting anxious for the day, and I'm getting into that mode also. We were suppose to have an appointment yesterday but it go cancelled due to our Doctor on call, who had to go perform an emergenct c-section....doesn't he know who I am...hehehe...

Looking forward to the weekend, hopefully the sun is shining...hope to play golf this weekend and not get into a fight this time...more on that next time... ;-)
