A quick update

So our Christmas shopping is done. Yeah me! Although my hubby still has me to buy for....and apparently I am not making it easy for him.....what else is new?
I am almost done the baking....and I have a few more rooms to tidy before Saturday. All this for a weekend....holy. I know I know....it isn't just a weekend.....don't email me bad thoughts and name calling cause I didn't refer to the "religious" sense of the weekend....sorry.

Anyway....on to other stuff. The kiddies are great. Lilly LOVES the Christmas tree. Imagine if it had decorations on it! All we have on it is our 800 lights and a star. Oh and the ornaments we recieved at the Harding Christmas a few weekends ago...but they are way up high so little fingers can't get at them.
I like our tree too...and I also like the fact that our LED (or LCD I can never remember) lights aren't hot to the touch when you have the tree lit up for hours and hours. Having said that....I don't like the fact that aren't as bright as the bulbs from the old days....and the green coloured ones aren't that nice too look at......but our tree looks nice. The only other decoration that I have out (because of little hands) is the garland lights wrapped around my banisters. I have a few nic naks out and about...but yes they are up high.

Jeez....got talking about Christmas again. Sorry....

Tanner is a teething spit up machine. Nothing has changed there. I am not sure if he doesn't like my new choice in cereal or he just doesn't like mornings. The last 4 mornings I have been wearing his cereal....that is always nice before I get my coffee.....Then he is fine.
Some horrible things have been happening to him though. Monday and Tuesday night, he has had "night terrors"....Holy Hell are these nasty. Both times it has had me in tears. The second night was the worst so far. His eyes are open and looking at me...he is screaming and crying and shaking but is still asleep....does that make sense?
My Aunt Cathy told me that my cousin Laura used to have them as well but when she was older...like 2 or 3. She would sleepwalk and freak out. You aren't suppose to wake them up and just let them work it out for themselves, while trying to clam them down. Yeah...that is fun to watch. Of course I was freaking too and I woke him up....but he just didn't know where he was at first (which is why I suppose you aren't suppose to wake them up) but he calmed down right away once he realized who I was.
Scary stuff. I hope he doesn't have any more. I can't take it.

We don't have any snow. And I don't think we will have any for Christmas. I am very upset about this. First it rained on my birthday and now a green Christmas. I didn't think I moved to Vancouver.....but if I did the view sucks.

Merry Ho Ho....if I don't talk to you before, this was just a quick update....and a procrastination task for me to do while I think about what room to clean next......

Funny

I just have a funny story to share:
When we put Lilly down to sleep for the night, she often knocks on her door when she wants something. Usually she yells "po po" after she knocks. I went up there one night after she yelled only to find her standing there buck naked with her diaper in her hand, yes, with a po po in it. I was shocked....but the room was clean.
Over the weekend the same thing happened. This time when we went up she was standing naked beside where she squatted....to pee......!
We usually put her jammies on backwards to stop this from happening, but I guess I have been slacking as of late.

Lilly wrote a letter to Santa which we took to the parade a few weeks ago. She told Santa that Tanner would like some Maple Leaf stuff or monkey stuff.....we should have asked Santa for his teeth to come in.....So if Santa is reading this....Tanner needs some teeth...please...for Mommy and Daddy's sanity.

Cheers

P.S A shout out to Drew and Lisa Williams in Yellowknife!! Been a long time...probably longer til my hubby writes you back!!!
