You know it is cold when......
This week has been super cold. My poor babies...all three of them....(Soph included) We have been stuck in the house all week...with the exception of a few Mommy moments.....("Okay...we all need some air")
You know it is cold when....Craig digs out his parka that he wore in Yellowknife....and has been wearing it all week.
You know it is cold when....I take Sophie out for a pee and she pees just outside the door, not in the backyard.
You know it is cold when....Lilly asks to play in the snow when the sun is really shining and she is bored out of her tree, then I take her to the door with me to get the mail, and she changes her mind....."Cold Mommy Cold"......
And finally....you know it is cold when you take Soph out (again) and you have to carry her back into the house cause her paws are frozen! Thank Garsh she isn't a husky......
In my defence (cause I know I will get comments and emails for that last one) Yes Sophie has boots and a coat. She will wear the coat but hates to take it off cause it gives her shocks. The boots take longer to put on then she does doing her business outside. And trying to get them on her is a chore in itself. I would much rather dress Lilly or Tanner, then find out they have to pee, undress them, do thier business and get them all dressed up again, then put boots on that dog.
Even though she is the cutest poodle ever, and a small dog...she HATES to be dressed up like other dogs. She will wear her trademark scarfs.....and that is it. Ahhh Tom boy puppy.
Cheers
Leelee
P.S Can't post the pic of Soph in the snow :o(

Finally!
We think a huge milestone has passed....and I hope I don't jinx myself as I type this....
Over the weekend Lilly has taken herself to the potty to do her business....more than once! The first time when we realized she was out of the room and upstairs alone, we yelled out to her. "Lilly where are you?" "Pee pee Mommy" she answered. I thought the worst....I thought my bathroom would be covered from top to bottom with toilet paper, Princess pullups and of course...pee. Thankfully it wasn't. Craig dashed upstairs to find her up on her stool giving herself a smartie for doing such a good job. :o)
Yes....I cried.
After a few times of her doing this, us dancing and singing and high fiving....I realized...my little girl is growing up....and she can do it on her own. At 2 1/2 years of age....does she need me anymore?????
Kidding.
But wow....Angie was right. When she is ready...she will surprise you, wake up one morning and do it on her own. I guess that is why she has 3 boys and is such a great Mom. (Yes I am a kiss-ass.)
Tanner the Tigger is bouncing along quite nicely. No, still no teeth...(soon please) but he is soooo anxious to get up and walk. He gets quite upset and frustrated when you walk by him. Or if he sees Lilly run by him. We help him walk all the time (Thank Garsh Craig had back surgery) and the hippo helps him out a lot too. If you put him down to crawl afterwards (cause our backs or legs ACHE) he lets you know how unimpressed he is.
He doesn't crawl backwards too much anymore...he has finally firgured out to crawl frontwards. Silly boy.
It is Superbowl Sunday. We are heading over to MBs and Vince's for dinner. There TV is bigger than ours....wise choice...and I don't have to clean up afterwards....well as much....;o)
So, Go Colts,
Cheers
