Still in radio! After you all graduated I stuck around Canadore for another year playing on Student council. After that I went to Sarnia for a couple of years as a producer on cart and reel to reel. Anyone remember that stuff? Headed to Chatham for 2 years after that and then in a moment of sheer brilliance I quit without a new gig to go to. After living in my parents basement and working in a restaurant I landed in Dryden about 7 years ago and haven't left. Where is Dryden? Well take your Ontario map, turn it over to the side that no one looks at and search just below the white section. I am half-way between Thunder Bay and Winnipeg, it takes a shade over 3 hours to get to either. So if you are ever traveling across Canada you will pass right by my house, we live on the trans-Canada highway.

I did mornings for 3 years and hated every second of waking up at that insane time of day. Let's face it if you are up until then, it's OK. Going to bed and getting up in the middle of the night SUCKS. I have been bouncing around middays and afternoons otherwise. The reason I stay in Dryden is the fact that we do live hockey here. We do boys and girls high school and Jr. A tier 2. I do mostly colour but have done play-by-play on occasion.

Lisa and I have two kids. Colin was born August 28th 2002 and Hannah was born December 16th 2004. That's it. we are done! Really that is the only time you will hear "millionaire" combined with our family. That's about it. Life in the north is "interesting" in a you know you're a redneck when sense. Friends here give you Moose, Deer, Fish (Walleye) and little birds that they've shot for food. Who else can say they have a deer roast and steak in their freezer?

Hope to see more folks on here. I do know the whereabouts of "Jar head" Todd and "Johnny Big Head" Niall. I will try to get them to write something. I most hope to find out where Uncle Nellie is.

Have a look at CKDR's website. www.ckdr.net or drop me a line shawn@ckdr.net

Cheers

Shawn
